this is a really neat post about working with an ESL learner.
There’s a new girl at work; a cashier. She just arrived in Canada a month ago. She speaks very little English. Another one of the cashiers I work with said to me today “She literally doesn’t speak any English, just knows the numbers and how to say a total” I think normally I would wonder why my boss hired her. But, I’ve changed a bit. Thank God.
I just completed an additional teaching qualification course in ESL – English as a Second Language. I LOVED this course and everything that I learned. I can look at a situation like this very differently now.
