Koreans Talande Svensk? (Koreans Speaking Swedish?)

A few weekends ago, I attended an interesting event with a friend. He’s from Sweden, and told me of a performance by students at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, in Seoul, where they would perform traditional dances and even a play spoken in Swedish. I love learning languages and am fond of Scandinavian languages, and culture (it also help that my brother lives with his Norwegian wife in Oslo), so I was already hooked. Here’s a clip of a few scenes from their adaptation of “Love Actually” performed in Swedish.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to transcribe and translate the lines. There was a small projector screen in front of the stage, off to the side, with the lines transcribed in Korean and Swedish. It was a fun challenge for me to listen to what the actors were saying, look at the screen and translate the Korean and Swedish (what little I knew) into English in my head.
