You want to move to Korea. You’re interested in teaching ESL. You’ve been considering it for a while. Are you still in college? Are you out of college and working? Are you an interested high schooler (or adult) drawn in by the colorful and pretty faces of kpop idols and drama stars? No matter who you are, before you have a job offer, before you even start looking for a job, here’s what you need to do.
Set aside $500 (if you are an American that is. I cannot speak for those in other English speaking countries). Is that a lot of money? Heck yes. But it is better to be safe than sorry. Also, if you don’t have a passport yet, did you know a new passport -if you are 16 and older- costs over $100?
