This is an excellent post! Teaching ESL is, for some, temporary. For others, it’s a life-long profession. This teacher examines his own journey and it’s worth reading and reflecting on!

It’s sometimes hard for me to believe that I am actually living abroad teaching English to students from another country and culture at all. I have taught for five years, in three different countries, and I am officially moving on to another phase of my life in Spring 2019. There are a number of reasons for this, some good, some bad, but for most people, teaching ESL isn’t something you do forever anyway.
Just to preface, this blog is an early swansong to my ESL experience as a whole, so I apologize if it is long winded. This is a more selfish blog than I usually write, and it feels a little necessary for me to review my experience abroad and use it to help me move forward. Nonetheless, I hope you readers enjoy it and can glean something from it.
