Teaching Online

This past week my school began teaching online classes on Zoom. I was worried at first, thinking of how to manage kids, the curriculum, and the technical aspects. But luckily things have gone more smoothly than I expected.

I do have some minor gripes, though, such as the increased prep work needed, difficulty of managing students while they’re at home, and things like network issues (audio or video).

I prefer in-person classes, but it has given me the opportunity to grow and develop new skills as an educator. I hope everyone else who teaches online now can also grow and develop their skills, too.

Stay safe everyone.
